Directed by Dan Rothenberg

With: Gabriel Quinn Bauriedel, Geoff Sobelle, James Sugg, & Dito van Reigersberg

Why do we make love, make war, make french toast, make memories, make out, make up? In this World Premiere comic mash-up of neuroscience and surrealism, Pig Iron translates the absurdities of human nature into a series of highly physical vignettes. Part laboratory, part vaudeville theater, Chekhov Lizardbrain pulls inspiration from doctor/playwright Anton Chekhov and the "Three Brain" theory of Paul D. MacLean to peel back the layers of the human mind. The four award-winning performers careen between trancelike dances, perception experiments, and full-throttle hilarity. Are we in charge of our own private rituals? Or could it be the lizardbrain, pulsing secretly in the deepest reaches of the mind?
